Gypsy Camp is located on a 120-acre working farm near Shenandoah National Park. This site sits above our working farm in a pine forest with fall and winter views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Drive in access allows campers to pitch up to 4 tents on tent pads or on the forest floor. We provide a picnic table, fire ring with cooking grate and a small amount of firewood. This is a primitive site, and no potable water, flushing toilets or hot showers are provided. We do offer a small hand/dishwashing station with non-potable water, a small outdoor covered changing station with a camp toilet that uses bio bags and a solar outdoor shower during summer months. Campers have access to our farm trails, pond, river property and farm store which provides Animal Welfare Approved beef, pork, chicken, lamb and eggs from our farm, as well as local artist, soaps, SNP souvenirs and camping essentials. We offer some farm experiences by appointment and have rental equipment available for our guests.

Great time family camping! Tent · With kids · This was the perfect setup for family camping. The kids loved having animals on-site to visit, and trails on the property meant we could hike without having to get back in the car. The campsite was comfortable, lots of space, tree and sky views. The tent pad was better than a lot of places, no rocks at all. Host was friendly and communicative. I appreciated how she gave us maps with onsite and area activities. The farm store had lots of practical and gift items. I would be happy to rebook here for future visits.
April 2025 Delightful weekend Tent · With kids · Gypsy Camp Near SNP We had a wonderful time at the farm and loved Gypsy Camp. Farmer Jen was a wonderful host and introduced my 3 year old to all the animals opened up the very well stocked farm store for us. She gave us some maps of the farm and the area, which was particularly helpful as we didn't have much cell service (a delightful reprieve from notifications). I would highly recommend and plan to return.
An incredible camping experience! The Gypsy Camp site is huge and very well-maintained. It was only 2 of us and a toddler, but there are 4 beautiful, flat tent sites and we’ll come with friends next time. Walking to see the animals everyday was a treat for the toddler (and mom!). Everything you could want in a camping site… secluded, clean, composting potty with a view, a sink, a solar shower, a great camp store. And Jennifer is very responsible and helpful. We can’t wait to come back.
Camping on Jennifer’s land was a great time. The location is convenient to lots of hiking trails, the views were great, camp site is well kept and supplied. Definitely would recommend! And if you go make sure and look up after dark (if there aren’t too many leaves on the trees) the view of the stars is incredible!
This was our third stay at the farm, and we cannot wait to come back. Jen is a wonderful host - full of information about all of the animals, local hikes, things to do, etc. The land is beautiful, and the camp sites are very private. We all had a wonderful time enjoying hiking in the SNP and playing with the animals before settling in for the night.
The campsite was perfect for our needs. Plenty of space with multiple level spots to setup our tents. The non-potable water sink was a nice addition. Great location near plenty of river fishing and Shenandoah National Park. We will definitely be staying here again.
