Amazing! Tent · Butterfly Camp: Near Shenandoah NP Amazing spot! Private, secure, tucked away. Has an outdoor shower too! Comes with a bundle of firewood. Close driving distance to Shenandoah and Sperryville, which is a cool little town. We enjoyed our stay and hoping to be back soon.
Great hosts, beautiful space!18 ft campervan · Butterfly Camp: Near Shenandoah NP This was a great site and the hosts were amazing! We had some van trouble and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. Also the farm animals and farm store was great. We picked up 2 dozen eggs as we were heading out.
My family wanted to go camping in a tent near or at Shenandoah, and this was the PERFECT place! We got farm fresh eggs and meat during our stay and got to pet some really cute animals. Jen was so nice and helpful and met all of our needs. It is about a 20 minute drive to get into Shenandoah but you can’t beat this location. Our family felt safe and we are excited to plan our next stay here!
So glad you enjoyed your time on the farm! Thanks for staying with us and we look forward to seeing you again.
My kids and I really enjoyed our stay on Jennifer’s farm. She really went out of her way to show my girls all the animals and let them hold some of the baby goats which was a real treat. She provided hand drawn maps which were very helpful! They really make everything so easy- all you have to do is show up. So many thoughtful touches at the campsite. We’ll be back!
True to its name, there are so many butterflies. The view is incredible. It was clean, spacious and secluded while still being close to several things, including a brewery/winery within walking distance. Jennifer was a wonderful host and I loved meeting the animals and visiting the farm store. The sink, outhouse and outdoor shower were nice additions. I hope to visit again soon!
Beautiful, private camp area with amazing views of the stars. The farm store is stocked with a well curated selection of camp needs and wants (snacks, natural toiletries, artisan crafts) and their Animal Welfare Approved meats were delicious!! Kind and responsive hosts with helpful recommendations for the area! Loved our stay and want to go back!
We had a lovey stay at the butterfly camp! It was my nephew’s first camping trip and he had a great time. The site was pretty, peaceful and had some nice touches. A grille over fire pit for cooking, chairs and a couple small tables, there was plenty of water for cleaning and washing w a small sink. They also offered a tent and cookware for a small fee tho we ended up using our own. And plenty of firewood! There are some nice little paths around the property as well as sweet farm animals. We stopped by the farm store and Jennifer offered lots of suggestions w maps for nearby trails as well. Was a beautiful time to be in Shenandoah. Highly recommend!
I had a great experience camping on Jennifer's land in a camper van (though it would be a great site for a tent too). The land a was very well-kept. I felt a good balance of the comfort of being around some thoughtful amenities like a sink with water jugs for washing dishes, a swiveling stove rack mounted on top of a fire pit, an outhouse with the basics provided, complimentary firewood at the site (and additional bundles for sale), and a farm store for additional supplies if needed. Jennifer takes great care of her land and has put signs marking the paths and what they lead to. She is very personable and can give great recommendations of things to do on-site and in the surrounding area. The farm was located about 25 minutes away from Shenandoah National Park and across the street from a great brewery/winery. I would definitely come back here again.
Jennifer was so sweet and her land is so amazing. The camp had everything you would need and hanging out with the baby goats and pigs was amazing. Seeing the dog's and pet donkey's relationship was also funny! We will definitely stay here again soon.
Butterfly Camp was a lovely and private camping spot. We opted for the tipi add-on to save us time with set-up and break-down of camp and it was perfect. Having a load of wood and a “kitchen” area for washing dishes and hands is a great addition to the site. The wooded views and nature sounds were peaceful. Getting to the site was no prob and the farm store is stocked with so many local goodies. We’d love to return soon!
